Jen Durkin is a seasoned executive with expertise in change management and operational leadership. She has spent three years on her HOA board, blending financial savvy with a passion for social events to build a stronger community. Jen believes leadership should be effective and fun, transforming the serious role of a board member into an engaging, rewarding experience.

John Dowdel is an experienced leader with a background in IT, broadcasting, and operations management. He has served on his HOA board for four years, including as President, where he has overseen community improvements, financial planning, and resident engagement. Passionate about creating a well-run and welcoming neighborhood, John brings strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to making HOA leadership both effective and approachable.
The Beginning
Our Story
What started as a simple favor turned into a shared mission. When Jen first volunteered to “hide” Easter eggs for the neighborhood hunt, she didn’t expect to find a kindred spirit in John, who was already deeply involved in the HOA. Their collaboration quickly grew beyond holiday events—tackling financial planning, community improvements, and making board meetings something people actually wanted to attend.Over the past four years, they’ve transformed their HOA into a model of engagement, transparency, and, most importantly, fun. But “good enough” has never been their standard. John and Jen believe every community deserves more than the bare minimum—they deserve connection, clarity, and leadership that truly works for them. Now, they’re determined to help other HOAs break free from outdated systems and inspire real, lasting change that makes communities stronger, more informed, and better than ever.
